North West Vietnam Tour - 6 Days Adventure

After having breakfast and checking out your hotel, we leave Hanoi city to enjoy a long drive to Son La. Mainly hill-tribe people, notably the Black Thai, H’mong, Muong and White Thai, populate this area. The drive is peaceful since the road is newly upgrade. We will pass lots of scenic hill-tribe villages and stop whenever we want. Lunch at Mai Chau valley, take a walk to explore the village of Thai people before continue the trip to Son La. Check in hotel, dinner and overnight in Son La.

Son La, was once the site of French penal colony in which anti colonial revolutionaries were incarcerated. Visit the Old French Prison and museum before depart for Dien Bien Phu. You'll enjoy the picturesque scenery as you pass the villages of Black Thai, White Thai, Meo and Muong peoples. The winding roads cross over the Pha Din Pass before reaching Dien Bien Phu, the site of the decisive battle in Vietnam’s struggle for independence in 1954. After checking into our centrally located hotel we enjoy a walk around to see this fast growing town. Our main stop is Dien Bien Phu’s Museum which details the event in place. We also pay a visit to the old battle field where the lush vegetation now grows over many of the war relics including old French tanks and artillery pieces. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.

Heading out of the town, we spend a full day traveling into Vietnam’s most mountainous region. The roads are difficult at times, but the spectacular landscape with a mixture of terraced fields and hill villages makes the hardship all worthwhile. On the way, we have some opportunities to encounter the Red Hmong, Kho Mu, Mang, Dao people who still retain their age old cultural traditions and are recognizably distinct from each other by their dress. At midday, we'll stop over at Heaven Gate on O Quy Ho Pass for sightseeing and visit the Silver Water Falls. We arrive in Sapa by late afternoon and have time strolling around to catch our first glimpse, a small town surrounded by breathtaking mountains. Morning: You will enjoy breakfast at hotel
9:00 Local tour guide will pick up you at the hotel and start trekking. We start the day trekking through the beautiful Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho village, home to Black Hmong minorities. Weather permitting you will enjoy stunning views across the valley with mountains and rice terraces as far as the eye can see. Next on the route is a stop at Lao Chai, an established Hmong minority village that has been inhabited for centuries.
15:00 Come back to hotel then take a rest, free and easy in the afternoon
Evening: Have dinner on guest account. If choose to go on the weekend you will have the chance to join Love Market

In the morning, we will walk to Sapa Station to take the train to the cable car for Fansipan, sightseeing the view from the roof of Indochina. Fansipan three-wire cable car from Muong Hoa Valley to the top of Fansipan - "Roof of Indochina" in Vietnam, takes visitors surfing between the valley overwhelming the primeval green forest, through the floating white clouds, enjoy the spectacular beauty of "Hoang Lien Son" mountain range. From the middle of the sky, through the window of the cable car window, visitors can fully immerse in the sight of the typical Northwest beauty of terraced fields when in the rice season. After visiting Fansipan, we come back Sapa town, free for leisure and visit Sapa Town. Overnight in Sapa.

In the morning, after having a breakfast and checking out your hotel, we'll move to Bac Ha. In there, you'll travel through the Chinese border town of Lao Cai to the colorful Sunday Market in Bac Ha. This market also attracts a wide variety of ethnic minority groups who still retain their age old cultural traditions and are recognizably distinct from each other by their dress. In the afternoon, we'll be back to hanoi and end of the trip.
